Rep. BeGole offering Michigan taxpayer guides for interested residents

State Rep. Brian BeGole is helping people across the 71st House District in portions of Shiawassee, Saginaw and Genesee counties with information and any questions they may have about tax filings.

BeGole is making available taxpayer guides through his legislative office and several local libraries frequented by people he represents. The booklet contains information on 2026 Michigan property taxes and 2025 individual income taxes, homestead property tax credits, the home heating credit program, farmland tax relief, and more.

“This is a great resource for families, veterans, farmers and many others to have given the many changes we see with tax policies both federally and in our state,” said BeGole, of Antrim Township. “I remain committed to keeping people I represent informed.”

Taxpayer guides will be available at no cost for anyone who is interested at the following locations:

● Laingsburg Public Library, located at 255 E. Grand River Road in Laingsburg.

● Ovid Public Library, located at 206 N. Main Street in Ovid.

● Elsie Public Library, located at 145 W. Main Street in Elsie.

● Perry Community District Library, located at 135 S. Main Street in Perry.

● Corunna Community District Library, located at 210 E. Corunna Ave. in Corunna.

● Shiawassee District Library – Owosso Branch, located at 502 W. Main Street in Owosso.

● Bancroft Community District Library, located at 3719 Grand River Road in Bancroft.

● Byron Community District Library, located inside Byron High School at 312 W. Maple Street in Byron.

● Lennon Community District Library, located at 11904 Lennon Road in Lennon.

● Morrice Community District Library, located at 300 Main Street in Morrice.

● New Lothrop Community District Library, located at 9471 Genesee Street in New Lothrop.

● River Rapids District Library, located at 227 E. Broad Street in Chesaning.

● Gaines Station Library, located at 103 W. Walker Street in Gaines Township.

● Swartz Creek-Perkins Library, located at 8095 Civic Drive in Swartz Creek.

● Linden Library, located at 201 Main Street in Linden.

Unless an individual is seeking an extension, Michigan residents are required to file their federal and state income taxes for 2025 by April 15.
