State Rep. Matthew Bierlein, of Vassar, announced today he will host a winter photo contest for residents across the 97th House District.
The winning photographer will be invited for a personal tour of the Capitol with Rep. Bierlein and have their photograph framed and displayed in his office.
Each submission should include the name, address and contact information of the participant, as well as the date the photo was taken and where it was taken within the district. All photos must be taken by the individual entering the contest and submitted between now and March 20 for consideration.
“My office is looking forward to showcasing our beautiful part of the state and I encourage anyone who is interested to send in winter-themed pictures from around the district,” Bierlein said. “Winter puts a unique touch on life in Michigan, and I am excited to see the sceneries and memories people share.”
The 97th House District encompasses several communities in Bay, Genesee, Saginaw and Tuscola counties. The district includes Freeland, the cities of Auburn, Caro, Frankenmuth, Vassar and part of Montrose, and the villages of Birch Run and Millington. A full map can be found here.
