State Rep. Doug Wozniak, R-Shelby Township, received the Center for Legislative Accountability’s Award for Conservative Excellence for his voting record in the 2023 legislative session. Award recipients must have voted in such away as to support the organization’s mission to “protect life, liberty, and property, and to uphold the American family.”

“I’m honored to be recognized for my commitment to supporting policies focused on smaller government, lower spending, and conservative ideas,” Wozniak said. “It’s critical we do all we can to lead our state and country away from radical spending that is crippling the middleclass. Working people need tax relief, not more burdensome government oversight.”

Wozniak received recognition for maintaining a solid 92 percent conservative voting record during the 2023 session. The Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA), an initiative of the Conservative Political Action Conference, is holds lawmakers accountable, and it produces the longest-running conservative congressional scorecard, as well as a state-level program that scores all 8,000 lawmakers in the 50 states across every policy area.
