Rep. Glenn honored by Great Lakes Bay Area Sports Lions Club
RELEASE|October 31, 2022

Rep. Annette Glenn was recently honored with an Excellence Award by the Great Lakes Bay Area Sports Lions Club.

The group noted Glenn’s work in helping the region recover from the 2020 floods, and her efforts to assist military veterans.

“Through her tireless work on behalf of Mid-Michigan residents, Annette Glenn has demonstrated her ‘Lion’s heart’ and proven herself worthy of our gratitude, respect, and support,” wrote Matt Tetloff, district chair and president of the Great Lakes Bay Area Sports Lions Club.

Glenn immediately helped respond to the May 2020 floods within the community and the Legislature. Among her efforts was helping secure more than $250 million in one-time funding for dam safety statewide, including more than $200 million for the Midland-Sanford area dams. In addition, Glenn helped lead the Legislature’s approval of nearly $60 million in federal disaster recovery grants to help communities affected by the 2020 floods.

The Lions Club also cited Glenn’s wide variety of work on behalf of military veterans – including efforts to help veterans get the assistance they need and have earned.

“I am honored to receive this award from the Great Lakes Bay Area Sports Lions Club – an organization committed to making our community an even better place to live,” Glenn said.
