Rep. Greene celebrates Richmond’s Lois Spruytte, ‘Blue Ribbon’ baker

State Rep. Jaime Greene on Friday celebrated Lois Spruytte’s accomplishments and congratulated her for her appearance on the Netflix series Blue Ribbon Baking Championship. Spruytte is a self-taught baker and competitive cook from Richmond who has earned national attention – winning awards in national competitions for her pies, tacos, burgers and more. She also uses her talents to fundraise for nonprofits and give back to the community through her monthly meals for at-risk and homeless teenagers. Greene presented Spruytte with a state of Michigan tribute signed by herself and Sen. Dan Lauwers.
